In light of the horrible tragedy on November 19th in Colorado Springs, we want to take the time to acknowledge the hurt, grief, and trauma the LGBTQIA+ community is experiencing.

It is a scary world when our sanctuaries are taken from us. These spaces we fill with our joy, love, and vibrancy, that we hold sacred should never be ripped from us like this. Our loved ones should never be lost like this. It is a horrific tragedy, and there is no response that will ever make this pain leave us. We need changes that are building too slowly to keep our loved ones safe, and events like this are reminders of the ways our system fails us.

Thank you for existing despite this. Thank you for filling our lives, our hearts, and our spaces with everything that makes you, you. You will always be welcome here.
